Early morning appointments are available on Thursdays from 7:30am - please contact reception to book an appointment. Please note that currently appointments are telephone consultations only.

Staff Training

The practice phone lines along with the reception desk will be closed between 12:30 and 13:30 each Wednesday for staff training. The practice is still open during this time and emergency calls will be answered.

All out-of-hours calls are handled by NHS 24, the telephone health advice and information service. You can contact them by phoning 111.

Alternatively, visit NHS Inform for self-help information about minor illnesses. 

If you call the surgery outside of normal hours you will hear a recorded message asking you to ring this number.

When you call 111, a specially trained nurse will assess your symptoms and advise you what to do next. If it is thought that you need to see a doctor, the nurse will arrange this for you. Alternatively, you may be given an appointment to attend one of the treatment centres established alongside the A & E Department at Monklands, Wishaw or Hairmyres Hospitals. You will be asked your permission to access your emergency care summary.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
